The end of an era

BoboPretty

It’s the end of an era.  At least in Bobo’s Room terms, that is. The paintings that inspired my little company, that reinvigorated my love of artwork, and that are the reason for this website… are gone. Bobo’s room has a new look. The little toddler bed is gone.  Replaced by a giant monstrosity of…

What’s in a name (part deux)

JosiahFinal

A few years ago, I did a unique set of paintings for little Judah’s Room.    What tied those paintings together is the fact that his parents carefully chose artwork that would be symbolic of the meanings of the first and middle names they had selected for their baby. So when Baby Josiah came along (oh,…

PaisleyButterfly

Looking for inspiration for artwork for your little one’s room? Sometimes, you can find that inspiration from a fabric swatch.  Like this one: For these paintings, we played off the paisley pattern in the fabric swatch to create a unique butterfly and flower pattern.  And the end result? Pin it

Huck’s Room

Huck

Huck’s Room was decorated in greens and blues, and used the Madras Nursery Bedding from Pottery Barn Kids.  We did a playful cow print with the baby’s name across the back to tie into the nursery’s farm animal theme. Pin it

Hellooo Kitty!

My latest project, Mika’s Room, was a fun one to do! Mika’s nursery was decorated in shades of pink and chocolate, to coordinate with the pink and brown mod dots bedding by JoJo Designs.  Her parents chose a Hello Kitty theme for their little one’s nursery. To celebrate little Mika’s Japanese, Hawaiian and mainland backgrounds,…

I have done lots of paintings that involved animals, but my latest commission illustrates (excuse the pun) a really great way to tie in an animal theme that is truly customized to not only your nursery decor, but your child’s name. Judah’s parents contacted me about creating artwork that would be symbolic of the meanings…

Arabella and Liberty’s Room

Big sister Libby gained a new baby sister as well as a new roommate, Arabella.  Their room was decorated in a butterfly theme, with walls of soft yellow and accent colors of pink, lime green and orange.  We did matching butterfly prints for their new room to coordinate with the new decor. Pin it

Les Petits Insectes

Set of three paintings to grace your little girl’s room:  a whimsical dragonfly, ladybug and snail.  Borders are done in a lemony yellow, with accents and trim in light purple and pink.  All paintings measure 16 x 20 and are trimmed with a matching orchid ribbon. Coordinating ribbon trim Pin it

Caden’s Room

Caden’s nursery was decorated in a Winnie the Pooh theme.  His walls were painted a soft green color.  We did a matching painting in soft sage and blue, featuring Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger and Piglet. Pin it
